After worshipping in the temple, the water procession came out. Kalas was installed in the local Chaiti Mandap. The Scheduled Castes, Tribes, Minorities, Backward Classes Development and Law Minister Shri Jagannath Saraka was the chief guest. He said that it was an excellent platform for developing the hidden talent of the tribes and bringing their culture to the world market. The Koraput MP Shri Saptagiri Shankar Ullaka, the Special Adviser Shri Pradeep Majhi, the Rayagada MLA Shri Makarand Muduli, the Gunupur MLA Shri Raghunath Gomango, the Special Development Council Chairman Smt. Anusuya Majhi, the Biju Health Welfare Plan Advisor Shri Sudhir Das, the Backward Castes Development Advisor Shri Prithiviraj Sahu, the Zilla Parishad Chairman Smt Saraswati Majhi, the Rayagada Municipality Chairman Shri P. Mahesh Patnaik, the Rayagada Block Chairman Smt Tuni Huika, the Kashipur Block Chairman Smt Kantha Majhi, the Padampur block Chairman Smt Manimala Shabar, and the Bissamcuttack Block Chairman Smt Yashoda Huika were the guests of honour. On the first evening, ‘Chaitali-2023’ was unveiled.

Individuals who have done outstanding work in various fields were honoured with the award. Later, a cultural program was held at the Chaiti Manch. The opening song was sung first. Later, Rayagada artistes performed Odissi dance. Then, Bihu dance of Assam enthralled the audience. A science fair exhibition was being held.

Kalinga paika creation dance from Khordha, local Folk Dance Art Culture Association of Gunpur, Sargifulla dance by Bharsingh High School students, BKSS artistes from Chandrapur and Gudari also performed dances. Later, Shree Ganesha Dance by Rayagada Seva Samaj, Hala Tribal Folk Dance by Stage Blast Dance Group, Sambalpuri Dance by Cool Young Group, Kerala Folk Dance by Naveen Dance Academy, Tribal Sai Lodi Dance by Osha Bharti Dance Institute Rayagada and Maira Dada by Sukadev Barik of Koraput entertained the crowd. More than 5,000 art and culture lovers were present. The police force was formed under the direction of SP Vivekananda Sharma to maintain law and order. Similarly, more than 300 stalls were opened in the state-level Pallishri Mela, as well as Chari Chatra. A science fair exhibition was being held.
